Universal Loving Kindness

Hi All!  As I did the loving kindness exercise I realized how close my daily prayers are to this.  And how I wish more people could apply this to their own daily lives.  We must all remember others whether we no them or not and pray for their suffering to end, and complete wholeness, and good health, happiness.  I think if all people felt this way to all kind this world would be a better place to live in.  As I did my assessment I was not surprised about the areas in which I need to work on, but I am a work in progress, so there are always areas that can be improved upon.  For the last year I have worked more on my spiritual self more than I have in along time, and knowing because of what happened to me awhile back I would not be here if it was not for God and his loving kindness to us and how he does not want us to suffer.  I think if we could all be God like we could understand others sufferings and needs and be more compassionate and understanding.  I will always continue on with my spiritual journey.  But there is also other areas that were put on hold during my "illness", and those include my eating habits and my physical activity and healing my mind.  Because of what I have been through in this past year I know there is nothing that I am not capable of doing through God's grace and my willpower.  So to improve the areas I need to work on I can implement a better overall diet and add an exercise regime to improve my overall well being.  Thanks for reading!  Everyone have a great week!  ~Kat~

  1. Hi Kathy,

I agree with you! I believe the world would be a beautiful place if everyone wished such kindess for others. However, these days simple gestures like this are often overlooked. I think it is nice that you can relate these good feelings to your faith in God. I think it is amazing that you already are on a positive path toward your overall wellbeing. Thanks for sharing your amazing outlook and story!
